I see you standing
On the storefront avenue 

It’s got me asking
How can I get to you?

And the answer 
Was the question back anew

To you I answered
Amazed you feel the same way too

With the flair I’ve always needed, got a stare that ain’t receding 
But every move I make, you go to turn and disappear
I wanna take you with me, get you up out of this store
But you ain’t going nowhere, trapped in glass forevermore 

I see you’ve turned blue
Well I’ve been feeling beat down too

What brings me peace now
Is the sight of you renewed

Lean right in and plant a smooch

The day I tried I missed you 
And through the glass I fell right through

But  every step away, just made you harder to see clear
I tried to take you with me, get you up out of this store
But there I lost a love, to shards of glass forevermore
